Many ages ago, in the times when the land was
still covered in the mist of oblivion, no one
sensed that the wind of changes was drawing
closer. Both, people living in poverty and the
mighty kings were exhausted with the chaos of
the past millenia. The sides of the conflict
have soon signed a treaty and the cries of war
have abated. The folk started a new and better
life by following the instructions of the united
temples, known as the Order. It was a time of
bucolic flowering as well as expansion of
cities, castles and shrines. Although the
architecture of those times is full of harmony,
the tension was easily noticable. On the path of
the history manking was about to enter an
unknown territory...
Royal sages and seers started proclaiming
various phenomena that would foreshadow the
worst. Soon everyone focused on the remote Black
Mountains, which were considered the mystic
source of all evil. The council of sages and
seers convinced the Royal Alliance that the
uncharted terriotories must be explored. To do
so they would launch three seperate expeditions
but none of them has ever returned or been heard
from....
The Order was the only one to object against
such actions. In their opinion the expeditions
would face certain deth in the hazardous
mountain conditions. According to the oldest
book, which since ages was is the possesion of
the elders, the changes were about to come from
within. And so it would happen but this
knowledge has never left the walls of the
Order...
When the kings were engaged with the sequent
expeditions, the miracle happened where no one
would expect. This time the winter was extremely
harsh and the rivers were covered in ice. One
clear night, when the stars were shining
brighter than usual, a small girl named D'heria
was delivered in a remote village. The baby was
unique, because from the very begining is was
aware of the stolen legacy of mankind - she was
aware of magic...
D'heria brought magic back to the world, where
mystic powers have been long forgotten. Many
apprentices have followed her through the
kingdom to laern the ways of ancient wisdom. They
have awaken spirits of the past in every place
they visited and soon many people found
themeselves to be commanding elements like
in fairy tales and legends...
Contrary to the Royal Alliance, the Order was
ready for the upcoming events and sent his
emmisaries as soon as possible. Temples, which
were scattered throught the land soon became
outposts for people seeking mystic knowledge.
Using both, the knowledge contained in the old
tomes and D'herias wisdom, the Order became more
powerfull then ever before. At this stage, the
Great War was impossible to avoid. The Royal
Alliance could not just stand and watch by how
the changes were undergoing. The council of
sages, in fear of loosing their privilages,
presented D'herians and the Order as a threat to
the present rulers. Soon all of the armies were
rushing into battle...
With each passing day, Dheria continued her
journey towards the capital - the city of
Oleghard. Her mission was to return the
knowledge to all of the mankind, including the
kings. Being absorbed with important matters in
each visited town, D'heria send messangers to
the capital to stop the upcomming war.
Unfortunately none of them has ever reached their
destination...
Finally both, the D'herias wisdom and the
knowledge of the old chronicles were in the
hands of the Order. The arch-priest supreme
council has agreed in secret that magic should
forever remain a domain of the Order at all
cost. They summoned a confidencial institution
that would get rid of their enemies among the
mages. It was commanded by the most ambitious
arch-priest Rhamades Ademhar, who decided that
D'herias wisdom was not to fall into the hands
of the kings. D'heria was betrayed and slain by
Rhamades, who deceived her followers and turned
them against the Royal Alliance. This is how the
last hope for peace was lost...
Many years have passed and the land was consumed
with chaos of wars. The Royal Alliance initially
had a great advantage over the mages, who were
disorganized and small in numbers. Kings
commanded a vast and well trained army. They
raised all villages where mages sought shelter.
Both, the Order and the harassed D'herians were
forced to retreat to the remote swamps, where
the hand of the Alliance could not reach them.
The situation was about to change in the
forthcoming years. The mages were gaining
support and greater understanding of the lore.
Finally, after the land witnessed many victorys
and as many defeats, the Order using powerful
spells as well as deceit was capable of turning
the kings against each other. Once they were
alone, they were no match for the mages. Ten
years have not passed when the mages were ready
to take matters of the known world into their
own hands. Now the kings found themselves
hiding from the watchful eyes of the mages. Soon
the landscape was dominated by their towers. The
world settled in a New Order...
